Email Over Quota - Outlook

So, you received an email that says you are close to being over your mail server quota, well, here's how to fix it:

*Note - these steps are for Outlook 2003-2007.

OPEN OUTLOOOK
1. Go to "Tools"
2. "Email Accounts"
3. Select "View or change existing email accounts"
4. Click "Next"
5. Select Email Account
6. Click "Change"
7. Select "More Settings"
8. Click the "Advanced" tab
9. Under the "Delivery" heading, make sure that following information is checked/entered:
*"Leave a copy of messages on the server" - CHECK
*"Remove from server after __ days" - CHECK
10. For the amount of days, we usually recommend 10-15 days.
11. Click "OK"
12. Next
13. Finish

Once you've completed these steps in Outlook, you'll now want to go to https://mail.oneeach.com/webmail/src/login.php and delete the emails that are in your inbox. Once they have been removed from you inbox, click on the link for "Purge" on the left. This will clear up your email space immediately. Don't worry about losing any of those emails; they have already been downloaded into your Outlook, so they will still be there, just not on the server.

That's it!

For Outlook 2010:

1. Go to "File"
2. "Account Settings"
3. Select "Account Settings - Add/remove account or change existing settings"
4. Click on the email account you want to make changes to. (most likely only one showing)
5. Click "Change"
6. Select "More Settings"
7. Click the "Advanced" tab
10. Under the "Delivery" heading, make sure that following information is checked/entered:
*"Leave a copy of messages on the server" - CHECK
*"Remove from server after __ days" - CHECK
11. For the amount of days, we usually recommend 10-15 days.
12. Click "OK"
