How to Add Hyperlinks to a Page (Drupal 7)

To add hyperlink to any page on your site, just follow these steps:

Hyperlink Text to a URL
1. Login to your site
2. Create a new page or find an existing page that you want to edit
3. Highlight the text that you want to link to another URL (internal or external)
4. Click on the "Link" button in the text editor (looks like the world with a chain link)
5. In the "Link" window that opens, enter the specific URL in the URL field
NOTE - If you are linking to a page within your own website, you need only add a / and then the Page Specific URL (everything after the .org/ of the full URL)
NOTE - If it is an external site/link, click on the "Target" tab; from the "Target " drop down list, select "New Window"
6. Click "OK"
7. That's it! You're text is now linked.


Hyperlink Text to a File (PDF, doc, etc.)
1. Login to your site
2. Create a new page or find an existing page that you want to edit
3. Highlight the text that you want to link to a file (PDF, .doc, etc.)
4. Click on the "Link" button in the text editor (looks like the world with a chain link)
5. In the "Link" window that opens, click on "Browse"
6. Click "Upload"
7. Click "Browse"
8. Select the file in which you want to link the text
9. Click "Open"
10. Click "Upload"
11. Click "Insert File"
12. Now that you're back to the "Link" window, select the "Target" tab
13. From the "Target" drop down list, select "New Window"
14. Click "OK"
15. That's it! You're text is now linked to your document.


Hyperlink Text to an Email Address
1. Login to your site
2. Create a new page or find an existing page that you want to edit
3. Highlight the text that you want to link to another URL (internal or external)
4. Click on the "Link" button in the text editor (looks like the world with a chain link)
5. In the "Link" window that opens, from the "Link Type" drop down list, select "E-mail"
6. Enter the email address in the "E-mail Address" field
7. Click "OK"
8. That's it! Your text is now linked to an email address.


Hyperlink an Image to a URL
To hyperlink an image to a URL, File, or Email Address, follow the same steps above for text, but instead of highlighting the text, just click on the image to select it.
