How to Manage Front Page Rotor Images

Quick guide on how to create new rotor images and edit existing ones.

Create a New Front Page Rotor Image

Make sure you are logged into your website.

  1. Go to Content --> Add Content --> Front Page Rotor Image
(This is where you will add applicable content for your rotor image.)
  2. Enter the title (typically the main focus that displays on the home page of your website - keep it short and sweet)
  3. Upload the image (just below the upload field, the minimum size (dimensions) of the image is listed)**
  4. If you want the image and/or title to link to a pager website, then you will add the link to the "URL" field.
  5. For the "Weight" field, enter the number in which you want the rotor image to display on the home page
    1. make sure there aren't multiple rotor images with the same number (it will sort by title then)
    2. leaving the field blank (no number entered) acts as '0', so the image will always be the first image
  6. Body Content field - not all themes will have this content visible on the rotor image
  7. Once you have added the applicable content and uploaded your image, just remember to click "Save" and the front page rotor image will now be visible on your home page.

**If you are uploading an image and getting the alert that the file size is too large (more than the listed 850kb), you can refer to this knowledge base article on how to lower the file size of an image.

Edit Existing Front Page Rotor Image

  1. Click on "Content" in the admin bar at the top of your website
  2. From the "Content Type" drop down list, select "Front Page Rotor Image"
  3. Click on "Filter"
  4. Find the rotor image you want to edit and click on the "Edit" button located to the far right of the rotor image title
  5. This is the same page that you see when creating a new rotor image, so you will enter all applicable information
  6. Then just remember to "Save"

**If you would like to unpublish a rotor image, when you get to the edit page, just scroll to the bottom of the page and uncheck the box for "Published" and then "Save"
